Here are updates on the progress of the book “The History and Plays of the Theater of Necessity”

Eatmore Theater had another name.  It was nicknamed “The Theater of Necessity”.  It was in Huntsville and broke down when Hollywood called. Georganne Barrett, who had co-founded Eatmore Theater, and I founded the new Theater of Necessity in Houston, Texas, getting our DBA assumed name in 1981.  After a lot of investigation and thought, we decided to make it a For-profit theater instead of complying with the constraints required of a non-profit or not-for-profit organization. Three board members were required of non-profit.  I thought of making my sister Laurie Stewart the third board member.  I was worried about losing artistic and creative and economic control.
